The general terms and conditions outlined below apply to direct bookings via the provided SADC Ltd website.
SADC Ltd, subsequently referred to as SADC, acts within the scope of their activities solely as an agent for diving services. It is understood that in case of a booking, the contract pertaining to diving comes into effect only between me and the respective diving base. The following conditions therefore are valid only for the intermediary function and have no bearing on the conditions, at which of the brokered diving services are taking place.
It is understood that SADC provides the opportunity to book services of third parties via the SADC website. By filling out the information fields and completing the booking process I commission SADC to act as intermediary for a service offered through a third party. I confirm that I am 13 years of age, or older.
I hereby certify and acknowledge that I understand that my acceptance on a diving tour organized and conducted by SADC Ltd. is predicated on my assurance that I am physically fit to engage in ocean scuba diving. That I have had or will receive sufficient training in scuba diving and that I fully understand the risk of ocean diving, of living and traveling on board a ship and dangers arriving from force of nature. I am prepared to assume such risk.
In order to induce SADC Ltd. to accept me as a member of the aforementioned diving tour, diving package and/or diving course, I hereby release and absolve SADC Ltd., its agents, employees and invitees from any and all damages resulting from death or personal injuries, including loss of services, which I may sustain on account of, arising from, or in connection with the aforementioned diving tour, diving package and/or diving course, or the ownership, maintenance, use or operation of any automobile, ship, boat, watersport equipment or otherwise.
I further understand that remoteness of destination, local custom and/or prevailing weather conditions may cause minor inconvenience or modification to portions of my booking, and SADC Ltd. reserves the right to modify and/or cancel diving arrangements due to unfavorable weather conditions and/or technical difficulties.
I agree to pay compensation at full current market value to SADC Ltd. for any and all damage or loss to property and equipment belonging to SADC Ltd. resulting from above or negligence on my part. I further agree to strictly observe and comply with additional reasonable terms and regulations SADC Ltd. or any of its employees may deem desirable or needful to prescribe during the course of any diving tour and/or diving course.
Customers must secure appropriate travel insurance, with a reputable insurance provider, and applicable to the activities that they will be undertaking. Such insurance should provide comprehensive coverage of at least the following; scuba diving, medical, travel, personal liability and cancellation provisions. SADC Ltd. shall not be held responsible for any resultant financial or personal loss or injury where customers choose not to secure such insurance.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENT CONDITIONS
Diving Packages, Day Trips and Courses
To confirm your reservation, you pay the full price in advance. Payment can be made via Paypal (bank transfer or credit card payments) or Saferpay (creditcard payments). Payments are accepted via Paypal for all invoiced services. Paypal can charge to your credit card or bank account – as per your instructions.
On receipt of payment, we will send you the final booking confirmation. If you do not receive booking confirmation, your booking may not be confirmed so please email us again if you do not receive confirmation of payment within 48 hours of payment.
It is your obligation to check the received confirmation of a booking and to inform SADC of any inaccuracies or variations compared to the original booking. Information regarding inaccuracies or variations received after the expiration of the two working days deadline after receipt of the booking confirmation email cannot be considered anymore.
The re-selling of diving services that have been booked by SADC is strictly prohibited. Diving packages, diving tours and diving courses are not transferable. Not completely used diving packages will not be refunded.
Depending on the qualification of the diver the dives must be accompanied by a dive guide (instructor/dive master). The minimum requirements for dives without a guide are PADI/SSI Open Water, CMAS 1* or equivalent internationally recognised certification, with at least 30 dives within the last 18 months, plus the successful completion of the SUB AQUA DiveCenter's orientation dive as the first dive upon arrival.
Diving packages booked for destinations Maldives and Egypt do not include boat fees, dive guide or equipment rental. These items can be booked and paid directly at the dive center.
Diving packages booked for destinations Thailand and Galapagos (unless otherwise specified) include boat fees and dive guide.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENT CONDITIONS
If conditions change due to one or more of the following reasons: bad weather, perils of the sea, acts of God or political incidents resulting in making it unadvisable or dangerous to the health or life of passengers or the safety of the boat – your cruise departure may be delayed or cancelled.
If the cruise is already underway aforementioned reasons may result in a change of destinations, ports or visits to the Islands. This change of destinations is not considered satisfactory justification for a refund.
SADC Ltd. strongly recommends that you have covering cancellation insurance. If we cancel the cruise you are entitled to a 100% refund of monies paid, less any bank charges. Shortened trips entitle you only to a proportionate refund.
Payment can be made via Paypal (bank transfer or credit card payments) or Saferpay (creditcard payments). Payments are accepted via Paypal for all invoiced services. Paypal can charge to your credit card or bank account – as per your instructions.
To confirm your reservation, we require a 30% deposit of the total price. On receipt of a 30% deposit, we will send you the final booking confirmation. The remaining balance of 70% must be paid to us not less than 60 days before your package commencement date for Thailand or Burma liveaboards, and not less than 120 days before the arrival date to Galapagos for any Galapagos Astrea liveaboard cruise. If you are booking less than 60 days (or 120 days for Galapagos) before the commencement of your package, full payment is required on booking.
Any national park fees are payable directly on the boat, or at check-in for your trip, in local currency (Thai Baht) or US$ (for Burma). Galapagos park fees are payable in US$ at arrival to the airport.
For bookings made with special early booking offers, or last minute bookings, no refunds can be made.
GENERAL CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
All changes and cancellations have to be in writing always, indicating clearly the details of your reservation to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please inform us of any changes to your booking at the soonest opportunity. Cancellation can ONLY be made by email.
Diving Packages, Day Trips and Courses
For booked diving packages, day trips and diving courses you have 5 days until arrival to make changes or to cancel. In case of changes, cancellation or refund SADC Ltd charge a fixed cancellation fee of 25.-EURO.
Relevant for the timeliness of the change or cancellation is the receipt of your message at SADC. For a cancellation received late, SADC will forward to the relevant destination dive base and it will be up to the individual dive base or boat operator to decide the course of action with regard to cancellation or any cancellation fee to be incurred.
If a trip is cancelled by SADC Ltd or the boat operator we will offer you the choice of an alternative trip on another boat or another date, a credit note or a full refund of the trip price less bank fees. We are not responsible for losses due to changes in hotel bookings or flights etc. We strongly recommend all guests have cancellation insurance.
Thailand & Burma
If you decide to cancel your reservation 60 days before your commencement date we will return your payment less deposit and any bank charges incurred by us.
If you cancel your reservation less than 60 days before your package commencement date for single or group bookings or 90 days before your commencement date for full boat charters we reserve the right to compensate for lost bookings by retaining all payments.
If you decide to cancel your reservation with more than 121 days remaining before the intended cruise departure, we do not apply charges and we will reimburse you in full, less any bank charges incurred by us.
If you decide to cancel your reservation within 120 days of the cruise departure, the cruise must be paid for in full with no refund possible.
All data has been compiled with the greatest care.
For possible mistakes during data collection or transmission no liability can be assumed. The transfer of data to other data medium, even partially, or the use for other than here designated purposes is allowed only by explicit permission from SADC Ltd.
