Accommodation

Angaga Island Resort & Spa is right in the centre of South Ari Atoll in Maldives, is a firm favourite with divers and many guests return year after year to this same island and resort.

Angaga offers 50 free standing beach bungalows, 20 superior water villas built on stilts above the water of the lagoon and a further 24 recently built premium water villas.

Beach bungalows

The 50 freestanding superior-bungalows are all furnished very tastefully with light wood and bamboo furniture, creating a spacious feel. All beach bungalows have the following facilities:

Angaga offers varied international buffets with lots of choice to suit all tastes. A snack menu is also available from the Cafe/Bar if you get hungry between meal times.

Main Restaurant
The open air restaurant on Angaga is the perfect setting to enjoy your meals. Three meals are served daily buffet-style with half board, full board or all-inclusive options possible. Serving a variety of European and Eastern style cuisines you can enjoy freshly cooked meat, seafood and even some local specialties. There are also fresh fruits and salads served at every meal - sweet tropical papaya and pineapple is the best!

Main bar/cafe
A comfortable cafe in the early hours of the day and a relaxing bar during the later hours of day. The main bar has an extensive sun terrace and sandy ground. You can get small snacks and ice-cream during the day. In the evening this becomes the bar area where you can enjoy a cocktail on the terrace as the sun goes down. However if sunsets are your thing then head to Angaga's sunset bar where the sun will drop into the ocean right in front of you!

The sunset bar on Angaga is located at the outer end of the water-bungalows base. As the sun begins to drop in the sky be quick to go there because the Maldivian sunset is over very quickly (due to the Islands' close proximity to the equator).

Angaga Resort has many sports and recreation activities to keep you fit and active while on your holiday in paradise. You may wish to relax and have as little activity as possible while you are on your holiday but for those who want a little movement, or want to keep moving, then your Maldives holiday can be as fast-paced or as laid back as you want it to be.
Discover some new talents with a wind surfing lesson or choose from any of the other vast range of activities and facilities on the Island.

Scuba Diving
Angaga is the perfect place to learn scuba diving or to continue your diving adventures; turtles, rays, and colourful fish life all await! SUB AQUA DiveCenter teach PADI courses from complete beginners to more experienced levels. Depending on the time of year you have the chance to see manta rays or whale sharks among other tremendous marine life great and small. Daily dive excursions offer scuba opportunities for all experience levels.

Water Sports
SUB AQUA WaterSports center offers non-motorised and motorised water sports depending on the activity you are looking for.
Non-motorised water sports are available for new or experienced windsurfers or catamaran sailors. For those guests wanting to try water sport activities for the first time, experienced instructors give lessons on proper equipment use and safe techniques. Ride a fun tube or banana, hop on a jet ski, try water skiing, surfing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, stand up paddling or many more activities at Angaga's SUB AQUA WaterSports center. There is something for everybody!

Snorkeling
Angaga has a beautiful house reef that you will want to enjoy and it is just a few steps from the beach. You can snorkel in the waters directly around your water villa or a few steps away from your beach bungalow. Expect to see lots of snappers and fusiliers, and it is not uncommon to encounter a turtle while snorkeling. Snorkel lessons are offered on the island from SUB AQUA WaterSports center so you can have an experienced snorkel guide accompany you the first time. For more experienced snorkelers, step into the Indian ocean and enjoy the reef.

Fitness center
Angaga Maldives has a fitness room that is equipped with cardio equipment, free weights, cushioned floor mats and weight machines. You have no excuse not to stay fit on your Maldives holiday with this air conditioned fitness center ready and waiting. Opening hours for the fitness center are 06.00 to 22.00 every day.

Trips and excursions
Angaga islands is beautiful but if you are getting 'island fever' and want to explore further off-shore for a day, then you can sign up to one of the resort's many trips and excursions. From whale shark and manta spotting trips (no diving), to sunset cruises with cocktails and local island village visits, there is always something to do or some place to visit from Angaga Island.
