Maldives Angaga - Meddu Thila

A great variety of fish and corals!
Quick descents and blue water safety stops are necessary if there is current.
This medium sized thila is oval shaped and slopes from a flat top at 10-12m to a sandy bottom. On the north side there are several interesting overhangs, and in the deeper part two big blocks separated from the reef. The reef top is busy with lots of corals and fish.
Big schools of fusiliers surround the divers on the current side. Glassfish live in the overhangs, which also give shelter to sweetlips and snappers. Often nurse sharks rest under the coral blocks. There is a good chance to see small creatures too, and surgeonfish like to play with your bubbles at 5m.
