Rescue diver gives CPR

Emergency First Response is one of the foremost international CPR and First Aid training companies - giving you confidence to respond to medical emergencies. It is not a scuba diving course but it is recommended by PADI as a pre-requisite to the PADI Rescue Diver course. It is a course that is not just useful for diving but also in everyday life.

For the PADI Rescue course you must have completed a general First Aid qualification within the last 24 months. Please bring a copy of the certificate or other documents of proof to SUB AQUA DiveCenter when you start your PADI Rescue course.

If you don't currently hold a First Aid qualification then don't worry. All SUB AQUA DiveCenter instructors are also qualified Emergency First Response instructors so you can complete the Emergency First Response course at any SUB AQUA DiveCenter before continuing with the PADI Rescue Diver course.

What you learn with the Emergency First Response course
- CPR courses for adults, children and infants
- First Aid for adults, children and infants
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training

PADI Rescue Diver course

The PADI Rescue Diver course is the most demanding but also the most rewarding of the PADI courses offered by SUB AQUA DiveCenter. What you learn on the Rescue Diver course will help you assist with problems and emergencies that you may face both underwater and on the surface while on your scuba diving adventures. You may even save a life one day with the valuable lessons you learned on this course.
It is a 4 day course with theory sessions, confined water sessions and then ultimately open water rescue scenarios to complete your course.

What you learn with the PADI Rescue Diver course
- Self rescue: you need to be able to look after yourself before you can rescue others.
- Recognising and managing stress in other divers: thus preventing problems before they start.
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicking divers both underwater and on the surface.
- Rescuing unresponsive divers both underwater and on the surface.
